Your privacy matters to me. This page explains — in plain language — what information PhotoSensei collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please email me and I will be glad to explain.
Who we are
PhotoSensei is an app developed by Fraley Atelier, the studio of Daron Fraley. If you have a question about your privacy or the information I hold, write to me directly at daron@daronfraley.org.
Children’s privacy
PhotoSensei is not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
What information we collect
Account — PhotoSensei creates an anonymous account for you automatically. I don’t collect your name, email, or any personal identifier to use the app.
Photos you submit — When you complete a lesson, you submit a photo for feedback. That photo is sent securely to Anthropic’s Claude AI for analysis. PhotoSensei itself never stores your photo — it’s used only to generate your feedback, then discarded on my end the moment the response returns. Anthropic, who performs the analysis, automatically deletes the photo from their systems within 30 days and never uses it to train their models. Lesson progress — I store which lessons you’ve completed and your rank, tied to your anonymous account, so your progress carries across sessions on the same device.
Purchases — If you unlock lessons or subscribe to Pro, Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) handles the payment and I never see your card details. I store only whether your account is entitled to unlocked content or Pro access.
Notifications — PhotoSensei does not send push notifications and does not collect a device push token.
How we use your information
I use your submitted photos only to generate your lesson feedback. I use your progress data only to track your lessons and show your rank. I don’t use your information for advertising, and I don’t sell it to anyone.
Data security
All data sent between your device and PhotoSensei’s servers is encrypted in transit.
Who we share your data with
Photo analysis is performed by Anthropic’s Claude AI. Purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). I don’t share your data with any other outside company, and I never sell your information.
Your rights
You can ask me to delete your account data by emailing daron@daronfraley.org. I will complete deletion requests within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the app or the law changes. When I do, I’ll post the new version right here. This policy was last updated in July 2026.
